As part of the Student Mobility Program between the School of Nursing, Walailak University, Thailand, and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia, nursing students from IIUM participated in a Nursing Laboratory Tour at the School of Nursing, Walailak University, providing them with an opportunity to explore the School’s teaching, clinical skills, and simulation facilities.

During the visit, the students toured various nursing laboratories and learned about the facilities and simulation-based learning environments used to support clinical skills training. The activity provided valuable insights into how simulation, technology, and hands-on practice are integrated into nursing education at Walailak University to enhance students’ clinical competencies and prepare them for real-world healthcare settings.

One of the highlights of the activity was a wound care demonstration conducted by a student representative from IIUM. The student demonstrated wound dressing techniques and shared practical approaches to wound care, creating an opportunity for nursing students and faculty members from Walailak University to exchange knowledge and perspectives on clinical nursing practices.

The interactive session fostered mutual learning, knowledge sharing, and cross-cultural academic exchange between students from Thailand and Malaysia. It also provided an opportunity for participants to compare nursing practices and learn from one another’s educational and clinical experiences.

This activity reflects the shared commitment of Walailak University and IIUM to strengthening international collaboration and promoting experiential learning, intercultural exchange, clinical competency, and excellence in nursing education through meaningful student mobility activities.
