As part of the Student Mobility Program between the School of Nursing, Walailak University, Thailand, and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia, nursing students from IIUM had the opportunity to explore the natural beauty, coastal scenery, and local charm of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

            The cultural and recreational excursion took the students along the scenic Khanom–Sichon coastal road, one of the province’s most beautiful seaside routes. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand, mountains, and peaceful coastal landscapes, the journey provided the students with an opportunity to relax, appreciate the beauty of southern Thailand, and create memorable experiences together beyond the classroom and clinical learning environment.

            The students also visited the Khanom–Sichon Scenic Viewpoint, where they enjoyed panoramic views of the coastline and captured memorable moments with their friends and faculty members. This activity offered not only an opportunity to discover the natural attractions of Nakhon Si Thammarat but also to strengthen friendships, promote cross-cultural understanding, and deepen the bonds between students from IIUM and Walailak University.

            The program concluded on a warm and memorable note with a Goodbye Dinner, joined by Asst. Prof. Dr. Orapen Sukhavulli, Dean of the School of Nursing, Walailak University. The dinner provided a meaningful opportunity for students and faculty members to share their experiences, reflect on the friendships and memories created throughout the mobility program, and express their appreciation to one another.

            Although the mobility program came to an end, the experiences, friendships, and connections established during their time at Walailak University will remain valuable memories and serve as a strong foundation for continued collaboration between the School of Nursing, Walailak University, and IIUM in the future.
