On 17 August 2026, the School of Nursing, Walailak University organized a workshop on “Peer Review” led by Prof. Dr. Reza Negarandeh from the Nursing & Midwifery Care Research Center, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, who is currently serving as an International Adjunct Professor at the School of Nursing, Walailak University.

The workshop was designed to enhance faculty members’ knowledge and skills in the peer-review process for academic and research publications. Prof. Dr. Negarandeh shared his extensive experience in reviewing scholarly manuscripts, providing practical guidance on how to critically evaluate research articles, assess methodological rigor, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and provide constructive and professional feedback to authors.

The session also provided an opportunity for participants to discuss key considerations in reviewing manuscripts for international peer-reviewed journals, including research quality, originality, methodological appropriateness, clarity of presentation, and ethical considerations. Through interactive discussion and knowledge exchange, participants gained valuable perspectives that can be applied to both manuscript reviewing and the development of their own research publications.

This workshop forms part of the academic activities under the International Adjunct Professor Program of the School of Nursing, Walailak University. The program aims to strengthen international academic and research collaboration, enhance the research capacity of faculty members, and promote the production of high-quality publications in internationally recognized journals.
