School of Nursing Faculty Presents Research at ICDM 2026 in South Korea
Ms. Sopida Thipsawat, a faculty member of the School of Nursing, received support from the School’s Faculty Development Fund to present a research poster entitled “Risk Prediction Models for Early-Stage Chronic Kidney Disease in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A Review of the Literature” at ICDM 2026, held at COEX Magok in Seoul, South Korea.
The presentation highlighted the importance of early risk prediction in preventing and managing chronic kidney disease among people with type 2 diabetes. Participation in this international conference also provided valuable insights into diabetes management, including blood glucose and blood pressure control, medication adherence, healthy lifestyle practices, and regular screening for kidney complications.
The knowledge gained can be applied to strengthen evidence-based nursing practice, enhance nursing education, and promote patient self-management, supporting early detection of complications and improved long-term health outcomes.
This participation reflects the School of Nursing’s commitment to faculty development and translating international research knowledge into improved nursing education, clinical practice, and patient care.
