Thailand’s National Nurse Day

On 21 October every year is Thailand’s National Nurse Day. This day is a birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra of Thailand. HRH Princess Srinagarindra, was professionally trained as a nurse. She was well known during her lifetime for her works in the field of medicine, nursing and healthcare, in particular the promotion of availability of access to health services for people in remote parts of the country. Since 1990, Thai government has designated this day as National Nurse’s Day to honored Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindre for her contribution in Public health.

School of nursing, Walailak University paid tribute to her Royal highness by organized the special activity with give opportunity for nursing staff and student to express their gratitude and perform a good deed together. School of nursing leadership team marked the day of remembrance by attending a service at Academic building 2 Walailak University. As part of the day, our leadership team also laid fresh bouquet flowers at the ceremony. School of nursing representative also attend the service at Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Si Thammarat.
