As part of The 5th National Conference on Clinical Reasoning, Nursing Research, and Nursing Innovation, the School of Nursing, Walailak University organized the International Clinical Conceptual Mapping Competition to promote clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and international academic collaboration among nursing students. The event was further honored by the Closing Remarks delivered by Dr. Madonna S. Palmes, Dean of the College of Nursing, West Visayas State University, Philippines, whose inspiring message emphasized the importance of international collaboration, academic excellence, and the continued advancement of nursing education.

The School of Nursing invited students from its international partner institutions under existing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) to participate in the competition. We were delighted to receive enthusiastic participation from leading partner universities, including Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) from Malaysia, as well as West Visayas State University (WVSU) from the Philippines.

The opening ceremony was further honored by warm and inspiring Welcome Remarks delivered by distinguished representatives from St. Petersburg State University (SPbU), Russia, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lidia A. Soprun, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natalia Yu. Gavrilova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Yurievich Pchelin, and the Deputy Director for Youth Policy of the Medical Institute at St. Petersburg State University. Their encouraging messages highlighted the importance of international collaboration, academic excellence, and innovation in nursing education, providing an inspiring start to the competition.

Following an outstanding demonstration of clinical reasoning, evidence-based decision-making, and teamwork, both Walailak University teams were honored with the Very Good Level Award, reflecting the high quality of nursing education and the strong competencies of our students.
