Walailak University School of Nursing Expands International Academic Collaboration
The School of Nursing at Walailak University recently held an online meeting with West Visayas State University (WVSU), Philippines, to discuss potential academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The meeting was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Orapen Sukhavalli, Dean of the Walailak University School of Nursing, together with faculty members, and Dr. Madonna S. Palmes, Dean of West Visayas State University.
During the discussion, both parties explored several key areas of collaboration, including student exchange programs (inbound and outbound), faculty and academic staff exchange, opportunities for nursing students from Walailak University to gain clinical and professional experience in the Philippines, and the development of joint research initiatives between the two institutions.
The meeting was conducted in a warm and constructive atmosphere, with both institutions exchanging ideas and exploring future opportunities to strengthen academic cooperation.
As a next step, the two universities plan to establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further enhance collaboration in education, research, and international nursing experiences.
This initiative represents another significant step in expanding the international academic network of the Walailak University School of Nursing and providing broader global opportunities for both students and faculty members.
