On February 10, 2026, the School of Nursing, Walailak University, held a preparatory meeting with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia, to finalize arrangements for the upcoming nursing clinical externship program.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Suda Jaihow, Deputy Dean, Asst. Prof. Pornchanuch Chumpunuch, Assistant to the Dean for International Affairs, Ajarn Laddawan Pensri, and the coordinators of NUR63-481 (Professional Nursing Practicum). The discussion focused on academic coordination and student supervision in preparation for the students’ clinical placement at Universiti Sains Malaysia.

The program will take place from March 13 to April 9, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance students’ clinical competencies, broaden their understanding of healthcare systems in Malaysia, and strengthen international collaboration between the two institutions.
