School of Nursing Enhances Global Health Skills with Field Study at Showa University and Affiliated Hospitals in Japan
Faculty members and students from the School of Nursing at Walailak University recently embarked on an international field study in Japan, visiting Showa Fujigaoka Hospital and Showa Fujigaoka Rehabilitation Hospital. This study tour was a core component of the Global Nursing and Physical Therapy Professional and Cultural Camp, held from May 10 to 16, 2026, at Showa University, Japan.
During the visit, students had the invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on insights into Japan’s advanced healthcare system, patient care standards, and physical rehabilitation approaches directly from experienced Japanese medical professionals. The program also facilitated a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences regarding nursing and physical therapy practices within a global context.
This initiative has significantly broadened the students’ academic horizons, strengthened their professional skills, and empowered them with the global competencies necessary to become leading healthcare professionals on an international stage.
