School of Nursing Walailak University and Suranaree University of Technology Exchange Best Practices for Competency Benchmarking
On October 18, 2024, the School of Nursing at Walailak University held a collaborative meeting with the School of Nursing, Suranaree University of Technology, to exchange knowledge and experiences on competency benchmarking and quality assurance in nursing education.
The School of Nursing, Walailak University, engaged in a knowledge-sharing meeting with the School of Nursing, Suranaree University of Technology, on October 18, 2024. The purpose of the meeting was to benchmark competencies and enhance academic quality assurance systems through discussion and exchange of experiences.
The dialogue covered several key areas critical to nursing education and quality assurance, including program management, professional licensure examinations, student support systems, and research development. These discussions aimed to strengthen educational practices and improve mechanisms that directly impact student outcomes and institutional performance.
Participants from the School of Nursing, Walailak University, included Asst. Prof. Dr. Orapen Sookawan, Dean; Ms. Suda Jaihao, Associate Dean; Asst. Prof. Dr. Thipawan Polanupat, Head of the Research Center; Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanawan Songsabserm, Head of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery; and Asst. Prof. Sirikran Suttisomporn, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.
This collaborative effort reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing nursing education, fostering innovation in academic management, and ensuring continuous improvement in quality assurance at both the faculty and program levels.
